Reconnecting with Te Reo Māori: A Personal Journey

Nathan Grey has embarked on a personal journey to reconnect with his Māoritanga. After years of feeling that success meant distancing himself from his identity, he is now helping others rediscover their roots.

Growing up, Nathan was taught to strive for success by conforming to a predominantly Pākehā society. This led him to suppress his Māori identity for many years. However, he has since recognised the importance of embracing his cultural heritage and language.

Now, Grey is actively involved in initiatives aimed at supporting others in their journeys back to te reo Māori and their Māori identity. His work highlights the significance of reclaiming cultural practices and language as essential elements of personal identity.

Nathan's story serves as an inspiration for many, showing that it is possible to reconnect with one's roots and find strength in embracing culture. As he continues to share his experiences, he encourages others to embrace their own journeys back to their heritage.
