Flour Replaces Cocaine in Fiji Court Case

Fiji police have revealed that nearly 40 kg of cocaine bars intended as evidence were tampered with. The bars were replaced with flour in a significant breach of protocol.

Forensic tests conducted by Fiji police confirmed that the 39 bars, held at Suva High Court, were not genuine cocaine. This discovery has raised serious concerns about the integrity of evidence in the country’s legal system.

Fiji's Justice Minister has urged the public to trust the ongoing police investigations. This incident has been described as a 'sad indictment' on the system, highlighting the need for increased scrutiny in drug-related cases.

Authorities are now working to address the issue and ensure accountability in handling evidence to restore public confidence.
